Media Buyer

The Media Buyer is a key member of the performance-based media buying team and reports to the VP of Marketing. The Media Buyer should be an expert in driving user acquisition and subsequently revenues at a large-scale, preferably for mobile commerce.

Objective:

  • Optimize a 6-figure monthly acquisition budget across Facebook and Google (Mobile Display, Search, YouTube) properties for the Hush app based on ROI.
  • Continually test and evaluate new tactics in acquiring new users, such as setting up A/B test programs
  • Effectively and efficiently lead performance-based paid acquisition marketing efforts to reach acquisition goals
  • Spearhead development of analytic tools, technology and process to drive efficiency across the Marketing Department
  • Develops digital marketing plans and provides regular reporting on progress towards key milestones and risks
  • Establish and optimize email marketing campaigns

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Marketing or Business Administration or a related field; Masters in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent, preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience buying, negotiating, and analyzing ad buys emphasized in acquiring users; strongly prefer mobile commerce/free-to-play games media buying experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience buying on both Facebook and Google’s properties.
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large quantities of data and present it in a layman’s report.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills.
  • Strong business logic and able to quickly identify new opportunities to acquire new and engaged users
  • Ability to identify advertising fraud
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and quantitative skills
  • Flexibility to work late nights and weekends, if necessary.
